Step-by-Step instructions on how to set your verification forms

Updated over 2 years ago

Note: All Settings can always be adjusted by an Admin User. Nothing is ever permanent.

First, log in to your account.

Next, click on the "Settings" tab on the left side toolbar.

You will be taken to a new web page. At the top of the new web page you will see two tabs: "Settings" and "EV Settings"

Note: All Settings can always be adjusted by an Admin User. Nothing is ever permanent.

Settings: Employment, Income, and Government Verifications (Commercial Verifications)

To change your settings for Employment, Income, and Government Verifications, click on the "Settings" button to the left.

The first thing you'll see is where you can enter your "Employer Disclaimer." The Employer Disclaimer is any message you'd like to automatically appear on ALL Commercial Verifications.

School Districts typically include a message about how often their Certified Employees (Teachers) are paid. For example, "All Teachers are paid on a 10 month (or 12 month) basis.)"

Next, you'll see your Verification of Employment data elements. Choose the data elements you'd like you and your team to provide when you receive an Employment Verification request. You can 'build your form' by ad hoc adding individual elements by checking the boxes next to the data elements. Or, you can choose "Select All" or "Industry Standard - Recommended" in the boxes up top. Once you have all of your data elements chosen, scroll down. (You do not need to click the "Save" button just yet.)

Moving down, the next box you'll see is the Verification of Income data elements. A Verification of Income will include ALL of the Verification of Employment data elements you chose above AND the data elements you choose in this box. The settings work the same way.

However, you have FOUR customizable Income History data fields. School Districts typically will include things like Stipend Pay, Coach's Pay and Supplemental Pay. Other organizations might include elements like Commissions, Bonus, Overtime, and Tips. We always recommend that you include a Misc or Other field to serve as a 'catch all.' (You do not need to click the "Save" button just yet.)

Next you'll see the data fields for Government Verifications. Most people will simply choose the "Industry Standard - Recommended" fields here. Once complete, scroll to the bottom of the page and click the "Save" button. This will save all of your data elements.

Congratulations! Your Commercial Verifications data elements have been set.

Settings: Experience Verifications

To change your settings for Experience Verifications, click on the "EV Settings" button to the right at the top of the page. The Experience Verification Disclaimer is any message you'd like to automatically appear on ALL Commercial Verifications. Click the "Save" button.

Most Experience Verification requests will want you to include "Start and End Dates" for School Years. To streamline this process, you can enter the school year "Start and End Dates" ONE TIME here and it will autofill those dates as you complete your Experience Verifications. To do this click on the green "+" button and a row will drop down.

Once the row drops down you can enter your dates with the format of MM/DD/YYYY or choose your dates from the calendar. Once you've entered one year, click the "ADD" button to the right.

That row will be entered. You can edit the row by clicking on the 'pencil' icon. Delete a row by clicking on the 'trashcan' icon. To add another School Year, click on the green "+" sign. Repeat this process for as many School Year Start/End dates you'd like to enter.

Congratulations! You've set up your Experience Verifications forms!
