Where is my glucose data and why do I need to download the Libre app?

To provide you with the most accurate glucose data, we use the Abbott Freestyle Libre Sensor. This sensor can only be scanned by the associated Libre app, so all Veri users must first download this app and follow the instructions below in order to send their glucose data to Veri 📈 😄

After you download the Libre app, create an account using the same email address as your Veri account.

Then, make sure to enter our Practice ID into the Connected Apps section of the Libre app. This is what allows us to export your data to Veri. If you haven't done this yet, keep reading and we will guide you through the process.

How do I set up the LibreLink app?

When you download Veri we guide you through this process during app onboarding, but we've included the full instructions below in case you missed it in the app. Please note the whole process should only take about 5 minutes to complete.

If you follow the instructions and are still having trouble, our Customer Support team would be happy to assist you further. Simply open the Veri app, click on the Menu button in the top left corner of the app, and tap Support 😊

Step 1: Install the Libre app

To get started, open the App Store on your phone and search for the FreeStyle Libre app.

In most regions, there are three options available:

Next, download the app version that matches the generation of sensor you are using.


If the App Store region on your phone is set to another country, simply replace "US" with the 2-letter country code associated with your region instead.

Step 2: Create a LibreView account

Next, open the Libre app, create a LibreView account with the same email address you use for your Veri account, and set a unique password.

The Veri and LibreView account email addresses must be identical for the sync to work.

NOTE: if you notice that the email addresses differ, you can change the LibreView email address to match Veri by following these instructions:

  1. Navigate to www.Libreview.com

  2. Log in via Member Login on the right:

  3. Click on the Settings Menu (3 lines in the top right corner)

  4. Click on Account Settings

  5. Under Profile -> Login Information, Click on Change Email Address

  6. Change your email address to match that of your Veri account

Step 3: Set up the Libre app

Next, navigate through a short setup in the Libre app, agree to the T&Cs, and enter your app preferences. You can set carbohydrate units to grams if you'd like, but you won’t need this feature.

We recommend setting the Libre target range to 70-140mg/dL (3.9 - 7.8 mmol/l) to match the Veri app default range:

Step 4: Enter the Veri Practice ID to Connect the two apps

Entering Veri's Practice ID into the "Connected Apps" section of the Libre app permits Libre to send the data to our app.

Our standard practice ID is veri-app followed by the 2-letter code associated with each country.

Step-by-step instructions on how to enter the Practice ID:

1. Tap the menu button on the top left of the Libre app:

Step 5: Scan the sensor to begin the calibration period.

Next, click on Scan New Sensor in the photo below and hold the back of your phone up to the sensor until it vibrates. This will activate the sensor and begin the 1 hour calibration period.

NOTE: if you have an Android device, there is no "Scan New Sensor" button. Simply hold the phone up to your sensor until it vibrates and the calibration period will begin.

Step 6: Scan the Sensor again

Click on the button in the top right corner that looks like this:

Then, scan the sensor with your phone a second time and a glucose value should appear in the Libre app.

Exit out of the pop-up window and you will see the full graph of glucose data. The graph will appear mostly empty after this first scan, but 8 hours of data will appear on this graph after each scan moving forward.

Step 7: Open the Veri app

When you open the Veri app, the data should now transfer automatically. Please note you must have steady wifi or a strong cell phone connection for the data to transfer from Libre. Veri is configured to pull up to 7 days' worth of glucose data, so don't worry if for whatever reason you have issues with the setup or a temporary disturbance in connection.

If the data doesn't appear automatically when you open Veri, please navigate to our Glucose Graph and "pull down to refresh". Then, a spinning wheel will appear and your glucose data should transfer. :

Other FAQs

How often should I scan my sensor?

While the sensor reads your glucose data in 5 - 15 minute increments for the full 14 days of the sensor lifespan, the data is only transmitted to the LibreLink/ Veri app when scanned.

Please note that the sensor's memory spans only 8 hours. To ensure all of the data is transferred to the Veri app, be sure to scan at least once every 8 hours to transfer the data from the sensor to the LibreLink app. Otherwise, the oldest data (over 8 hours old) will be erased and replaced with the newest data, which will result in gaps in your Glucose Graph. We generally suggest scanning the sensor right before you go to bed, right when you wake up, and then a few times throughout the day.

Why are my glucose values sometimes different in Veri vs LibreLink?

When your glucose rises or falls quickly after a meal, workout, or hot shower, the value shown on the LibreLink app is a predicted value. The steeper the rise or fall, the more prone to error this prediction is. For this reason, you may check Veri later and see a different value than before. Sometimes this confuses our customers, but this is because while they initially viewed the predicted value, we only store the actual glucose value from the Libre app.

In the Libre app, there are two main sections where you can view your glucose data.

  1. The Logbook - a compilation of sensor scans over time, with predictions

  2. The Daily Graph - a comprehensive overview of your glucose values for the past X amount of time

For any significant rise in glucose, LibreLink estimates a reading that predicts your glucose will reach and shows this predicted reading when you scan the sensor. This way people who need to use insulin can dose it before glucose readings reach higher levels than desired. The same holds true for low readings, in which case Libre might show lower readings to estimate predicted declines. The projected readings in LibreLink will eventually disappear from the graph and will be replaced with the accurate 'true' readings, but the projections remain in the Logbook.


If you refer to the Daily Graph in the LibreLink app (not the Logbook), you will see that the data in the Daily Graph matches that of Veri. The Veri app only pulls data from the Daily Graph as this is the most accurate data available in the LibreLink app. With this in mind, the LibreLink scans in the Logbook typically can be considered accurate as long as your glucose is stable. If your glucose is actively rising or falling, then there is room for the Logbook values to be slightly incorrect until more data is gathered.

What do I do if I receive a "Replace Sensor" warning before day 14?

This could mean your sensor has expired or is malfunctioning. Please contact Customer Support so they can help you troubleshoot the issue.
