Adding a New User

You can create additional users to post notices across your buildings and/or manage other users using role assignment.

1. Role types.

There are two different role types in the Vertical City platform:

  1. Property Manager - Allowed to post notices and create and manage users.

  2. Board Member - Only allowed to post notices.

2. Creating a new user.

You can create multiple users who can help you post notices and manage users in your account. You have the ability to assign users to manage one or multiple properties in your portfolio.

  • Log in to your Elev8 Account.

  • Select your Dashboard.

  • Click the Users icon or the Users section on the side panel.

  • Once in the Users section in the side navigation, click Create.

  • Assign the User to your Properties based on the role you’d like them to have by checking the box next to the desired Property or Properties.

Pro Tip: Makes sure to use the “Board Member at:” section to let the new user post notices only.

  • Pick the preferred Site Language option. We support English and French interface.

  • Click Create.

  • The new user will receive an automated email with information about login and password creation from Vertical City (make sure to check your Spam folder if you don’t see it).

3. Managing and updating users.

You can easily change user roles, add/remove them from properties, change their language preference or delete them completely straight from your account.

  • Click Users in the side navigation.

  • Locate the user you wish to update or delete.

  • Click Edit to modify a user, or Delete to remove a user from your account.

When ready, scroll down to hit Update on the User detail page.
