Treatment protocols help you standardize care plans across your practice. You can create individual protocols, bundle multiple protocols together into binders for specific clients and customize the categories and task types that organize your treatment plans. This article walks you through accessing these features and explains key concepts like protocol binding, signature requirements and the locked status of published binders.
How to access treatment protocols and supported features
From the side navigation, select Configuration > Treatment Protocols.
When you land on the Treatment Protocols page, you will land on the Protocols tab by default. Any treatment protocols setup for your practice will appear here. To create a new protocol select the Add Protocol button.
Under the Binders tab you can bundle together multiple treatment protocols and assign them to specific clients. To create a new binder select the Add Binder button.
Under the Categories tab is where you will see a list of default category options available for treatment protocols. These include treatment, vaccination, reproduction and others. If you need to add another category, just select the Add Category button.
Under the Task Types tab you will see all the preset options for the type of tasks you can add to a treatment plan, from administering a product to adjusting feed. If you want to add another task type, just select the Add Task Type button.
