We are offering two type of services streaming from recorded files:
Option 1 - Live Stream from Files
As part of your live streaming plan, you can upload MP4 and closed captioning (.VTT) files and simulate a live stream from these files as explained here.
The best use cases for this workflow are:
Simulate a live stream from recorded media.
Build playlists. Live stream content in specific order.
Use the Scheduler to start/stop the live stream.
Configure up to 25 destinations to send the live stream.
Create custom players and embed in your website.
Add privacy protection to recorded streams, and limit the playback to a specific domain, origin IP's, or geographical region.
Add stream monetization.
Option 2 - Stream Pre-Recorded Files
Upload pre-recorded MP4 files, and stream them as "video on demand" on your website or blog.
The best use cases for this workflow are:
Post commercial free recorded videos as news, for marketing, or training.
Create custom players for playback on any browser or device.
Add privacy protection to recorded streams, and limit the playback to a specific domain, origin IP's, or geographical region.
Add stream monetization.
Service Pricing
Our storage bin offers a 5GB of free storage. Order additional storage space. Pay $0.50 per month for every additional GB stored. Pay data transfer fees of $0.25 per GB.
Large Files
Customers who have large files over 4 GB in size can order FTP access to their account, and upload large size media with an FTP client like Filezilla FTP etc.
File Preparation
Read this article explaining how to prepare media files and upload them to the storage bin. Follow the instructions listed in the 2nd part of this article when using an FTP client to upload files that will be streamed as live video later (Option 1).
