Viewcy integrates with Stripe to make getting paid easy and efficient. When tickets are sold or donations are made, payments are transferred directly to your bank account through Stripe, a leading payment processing service used by well-known companies like Lyft. Stripe charges a processing fee of 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction for payments made in US dollars. Here’s how to set up your Stripe integration on Viewcy.
Connecting Stripe to Your Account
Log in to Viewcy.
Navigate to the Business Tools for your personal account or organization you'd like to accept payments for.
Select Settings > Payouts > Connect to Stripe.
You will be directed to Stripe.com to complete the setup.
Accessing Details in Stripe
Once connected, you can log in to Stripe to manage your account, view detailed transaction information, and access payout details.
For transaction details and to issue refunds, visit the Stripe Balance Page.
To view your balance overview and payouts, navigate to the Balance Overview Page.
Make sure you log into the same Stripe account that is linked to your Viewcy account to access all related information.
Here's a breakdown of how to get payouts on Stripe:
Connect a Bank Account:
Go to the Stripe Dashboard and navigate to the "Settings" > "Bank accounts and scheduling".
Add your bank account details, ensuring the currency matches your payout settings.
You might need to verify your bank account details, depending on your region.
Choose a Payout Schedule:
Stripe offers automatic payouts by default, with options for daily, weekly, or monthly schedules.
You can also choose to disable automatic payouts and manage them manually through the Dashboard or API. Learn how to do it here
For manual payouts, you can initiate them from the Dashboard or using the API.
Instant Payouts (if eligible):
If you're eligible for instant payouts, you can transfer funds to your bank account or debit card within minutes.
Instant payouts have a fee associated with them.
You can initiate instant payouts from the Stripe Dashboard or through the API.
Note that even with instant payouts, there may be a first-time payout delay for new accounts.
Payout Availability:
Payout availability depends on your industry and country.
Stripe may have a waiting period for your first payout, which can vary.
You can find information about payout schedules and delays specific to your region in the Stripe documentation.
Managing Payouts:
Use the Stripe Dashboard to view your payout history, manage your bank accounts, and adjust your payout settings.
For Stripe Connect users, the Dashboard provides tools for managing payouts for a large number of users.
You can also use the Stripe API to manage payouts programmatically.
