How to send a ticket to someone

At times, event-goers may find that they are unable to attend an event, and may want to transfer their tickets to someone else. To facilitate this, our app now allows users to send their tickets to a friend, with a few simple clicks.

There are two ways to do it:

How to Transfer a Ticket

You can transfer tickets in three different ways:

1. Transfer from Confirmation Email

After purchasing a ticket, you’ll receive a confirmation email.

  1. Open the confirmation email

  2. Click View Ticket on Web

  3. In the next window, locate Transfer Ticket just below the QR code

  4. Enter your friend’s name and email address

  5. Click Transfer ticket

Your friend will receive an email with the new ticket, which they can use to enter the event.


2. Transfer from Web Browser

  1. Log in to your Viewcy account

  2. Click the profile icon (top right)

  3. Select Tickets & Subscriptions

  4. Click on the ticket you want to transfer

  5. In the next window, find Transfer Ticket just below the QR code

  6. Enter your friend’s name and email address and click Transfer ticket

Your friend will receive an email with the transferred ticket.


3. Transfer from the Viewcy App

  1. Log in to the Viewcy app

  2. From the bottom panel, tap My Tickets

  3. Select the ticket you want to transfer

  4. In the next window, tap Transfer Ticket just below the QR code

  5. Enter your friend’s name and email address and tap Transfer ticket

Your friend will receive an email with the new ticket, which they can use to enter the event.


Please Note

  • Once a ticket is transferred, you will lose access to it.

  • Please double-check the recipient’s name and email address before sending.

  • Ticket transfers are generally irreversible.

If you accidentally send a ticket to the wrong email address:

You must contact Viewcy Support using the same email address used to purchase the ticket and provide the following details:

  • Original buyer’s name

  • Date and approximate time of purchase

  • Event link

  • Any additional information that helps verify you are the original buyer

Once verified, our support team can assist with re-transferring the ticket.
