Overview
Draft Mode lets organizers build or edit an event in a private workspace before publishing it to the public site. Every new event now starts as a draft and stays hidden until you choose Publish Event.
Why use Draft Mode?
Work in private – add details, images, and tickets without exposing unfinished content.
No accidental launches – the Publish Event button is disabled until all required info is complete.
Clear status badges – gray Draft and green Published labels appear on the event page and in your Event list, plus an alert banner on draft events (“Draft mode: hidden from public view”).
Safe rollback – if no tickets have sold you can move a live event back to draft with Un-publish.
Team-only visibility – drafts can be viewed and edited only by event admins; attendees can’t see them.
Creating a Draft Event
Click Create Event. The event automatically opens in Draft Mode.
Fill in any section (Details, Tickets, Images, etc.) and hit Save Draft as you go. The page header shows the gray Draft badge.
Leave and return anytime—your draft lives in Business Tools → Events with its status clearly marked.
Publishing Your Event
When every required field is filled, the Publish Event button turns active.
Click Publish Event and confirm in the dialog. Your event becomes public instantly and ticket sales open.
Un-publishing (Return to Draft)
Go to Event Settings → Un-publish.
If zero tickets have been sold, confirm to move the event back to Draft Mode.
If tickets have already sold, Un-publish is locked; contact Viewcy Support for help.
What Attendees See
Draft events are invisible on the public site and can’t be purchased, even if someone has the checkout link.
Once published, any edits you make are live immediately (no draft versioning of live events).
Frequently Asked Questions
I published too soon—can I hide the event?
Yes, if no tickets are sold. Use Un-publish in Settings to revert to draft.
Can I schedule a future publish date?
Not yet. For now, keep the event in Draft Mode and publish manually when ready.
Will drafts expire?
No. Drafts stay in your Event list indefinitely until you delete them or publish.
