Once your ticket sales are processed, the funds are deposited directly into your Stripe account—and from there, to your bank account, based on your payout settings.
In this article, we'll walk you through how to set up your Stripe account properly and how to make sure you receive your payouts on time.
Step 1: Set Up Your Stripe Account
To receive payouts, you need a fully verified Stripe account. If you haven’t done this yet, follow Stripe’s official onboarding guide:
During setup, you’ll be asked to:
Provide basic identity verification (name, date of birth, etc.)
Add your bank account details where the funds will be deposited
Submit any business information (if applicable)
⚠️ Note: Your first payout from Stripe may take 7 to 14 days as Stripe verifies your account. This is a one-time security measure.
Step 2: Understand Stripe’s Payout Schedule
Once your account is verified, Stripe will begin depositing funds into your bank account on a regular basis. The default payout schedule depends on your country:
U.S.: 2 business days after a transaction
Most other countries: 3 to 7 business days
You can check your payout status anytime by going to your Stripe Dashboard → Payouts.
Step 3: Choose a Payout Schedule
Stripe allows you to customize your payout frequency. You can choose:
Daily automatic payouts (recommended)
Weekly or monthly automatic payouts
Manual payouts, where you initiate transfers yourself
💡 Our recommendation:
Use daily automatic payouts for the most consistent cash flow.
Go to Dashboard > Settings > Payouts and Bank Accounts to update this.
Common Questions
Q: What happens after a customer buys a ticket?
A: The funds go directly to your Stripe balance. Stripe then sends the money to your linked bank account based on your payout schedule.
Q: How do I know when a payout is coming?
A: In your Stripe Dashboard, navigate to the Payouts section. You'll see a list of upcoming and past payouts, with amounts and expected deposit dates.
Q: Can I change my bank account later?
A: Yes. In your Stripe dashboard, go to Settings > Bank accounts and scheduling, and you can update your banking details securely.
Final Tip: Keep Everything Verified
Make sure your bank details, tax information, and identity verification documents are up to date. Stripe will pause payouts if anything is missing or flagged.
