Here’s the quickest way to put your phone on your TV—first for iPhone, then for Android.

iPhone (AirPlay)

  1. Check Wi-Fi

Make sure iPhone and TV (Apple TV box or AirPlay 2 smart TV) are on the same network.

  2. Open Control Center

    • iPhone with Face ID: swipe down from the top-right corner.

    • iPhone with Home button: swipe up from the bottom edge.

  3. Start mirroring

Tap Screen Mirroring. Pick your TV from the list.

  4. Confirm

If a code shows on the TV, type it on the phone. The phone screen now shows on the TV.

  5. Stop when done

In Control Center, tap Screen Mirroring → Stop Mirroring.

Wired fallback

Use a Lightning-to-HDMI adapter, plug an HDMI cable into the adapter and TV, then switch the TV’s input. The iPhone screen appears at once.

Android (Cast)

  1. Check Wi-Fi

Phone and TV (Chromecast, Google TV, or TV with “Chromecast built-in”) must share the same network.

  2. Open quick settings

Swipe down twice from the top to see the full panel.

  3. Cast the screen

Tap Screen Cast (may be named Cast, Smart View on Samsung, or Wireless Display on some phones). Pick the TV or Chromecast.

  4. Confirm

Accept any prompt on the TV. Your phone screen shows on the TV.

  5. Stop when done

Pull down quick settings again, tap Screen Cast → Disconnect.

Wired fallback

Use a USB-C-to-HDMI adapter (phone must support “DisplayPort over USB-C”), connect an HDMI cable to the TV, then choose the correct HDMI input.
