Yes.

VMcast requires an internet connection because it is a streaming service. This benefits you in a couple of ways: the content is always the latest available and you can easily change your custom content at any time. You don’t have to worry about bandwidth issues. VMcast video files are optimized to be easy on your internet connection. Once you start using VMcast, it automatically saves all ViewMedica loop content to your device. That frees up your internet for other uses and allows VMcast to keep playing, even if your Wi-Fi connection temporarily drops. An internet connection is still needed to make sure your loops and other content are up-to-date.
