Create a custom location
Click the menu item Map, then click the menu item Custom locations.
Click the + button at the top right of the Custom Locations overview.
Enter the details.
Click Save.
Enter address
Start typing the address, then select it when it appears in the dropdown list.
Note: After saving the location, you cannot change the address.
Location name/Company name
Entering a location name and a company name allows you to differentiate between different sites of the same customer.
Contact name/phone number/email
The name, phone number and email address of your contact person at the location.
Select label
Assigning different coloured labels allows you to differentiate between different types of business partners and filter them on the map.
To create a new label, enter a label name, click Create and select a colour.
To assign an existing label, select it in the list. You can assign multiple labels.
To edit a label, click the three dots next to the label. You can change the name and the colour or delete the label.
Enter address
Start typing the address, then select it when it appears in the dropdown list.
Import custom locations
You can add custom locations to a CSV file and upload them to Fleet. You can upload up to 2,500 locations in a single file. If you want to upload more locations, use multiple files.
In the custom locations overview, click Import locations.
Click Download template.
Enter the data in the template and save it in CSV format.
Upload the file by clicking Upload file and selecting the corresponding file.
Tip: You must enter the coordinates of the address. To find the coordinates, open Google Maps on your computer or Smartphone and search for the address. On a computer, right click on the address marker. The coordinates are displayed in the context menu. On a Smartphone, touch the address marker until the coordinates are displayed in the search field.
View custom locations on the map
Click the menu item Map, or in the custom locations overview, click Map view.
The locations are shown as coloured pins.
Filter custom locations on the map
Click on the view icon at the bottom right of the map and select the location types you want to see on the map.
Find the vehicle closest to a custom location
Click on the location’s pin, then click Find nearest vehicle.
The route from the location to the nearest vehicle is displayed, as well as the distance from the vehicle to the location and the approximate travel time.
You can also click on a different vehicle to view the distance from this vehicle to the location.
Delete a custom location
Check the check box next to the location and then click the Delete button at the top right.
