Welcome to VineMigrator, the first data migrations for Filevine that's openly available to our growing community of Filevine users. With VineMigrator, you can migrate in large data sets of Contacts, Projects, and Project Data including Static and Collection Section items.
Whether you're coming to Filevine for the first time as a new customer and need to bring in data, or if you need to regularly import data into your Filevine projects in bulk, VineMigrator is the tool you need to get the job done quickly, efficiently, and at a low cost in a zero-code environment.
If you can get your data into a spreadsheet, you can import the data to Filevine with VineMigrator.
Requirements for VineMigrator
Minimum requirements to run VineMigrator include:
An active Filevine Org
At least one (1) Project Type Template
Your Filevine API Credentials - Filevine Login URL, API Key, and Key Secret
Choose a Billing Plan
VineMigrator offers a metered billing model based on number of successfully processed rows. A row can be a contact record, a project, a static section, a collection section item, a calendar appointment, an activity feed item (note or task), or a billing item (time entry or payment). You can estimate your costs per job simply be estimating the total number of rows you intend to process across your full data set.
On Demand Plan
With our On Demand Plan, you are welcome to use VineMigrator as a self-service. Our prices are posted on our Marketplace here. Choose the On Demand plan from the Profile & Billing page on first successful login.
Managed Service Plan
Not sure if you want to run the tool yourself? No problem - we're here to help. You may choose to subscribe to a Managed Service Plan where we do the work for you with data sets you provide. Billings are automatically captured via payment card on file every 30 days through payment processor Stripe. See your invoices, payments, and cancel anytime in your Stripe Customer Payment Portal here.
Filevine API Credentials
The easiest way to retrieve you Filevine API Credentials is via the API Key Manager tool in Advanced Access. If you do not have access to this tool, you may need to request enablement from the Filevine Support Team. Go to the Support Center and start a chat to request to have this enabled.
Once enabled, you can access this tool from Advanced Access to generate an API Key and Key Secret. That process is detailed in this Filevine Support Article with images and detailed walkthroughs.
