If you've changed your Pinterest password, you need to reconnect your Pinterest Profile with Viraltag. This will fix any issues you are facing with scheduling content.

To reconnect your Pinterest profile, go to the 'Accounts' section, and under the 'Profiles Connected' list you'll see text in red next to your Pinterest profile icon.

It reads 'The token has expired. Click here to reconnect this account'. Clicking on this will redirect you to the Authorization page. Following this, enter your Pinterest Credentials and you're good to go!

Temporary issue : Not able to re-connect my Pinterest account

Pinterest has asked many users to change their passwords due to an issue they are facing. Once the password is changed, the access token for Viraltag expires, and Pinterest has made some restrictions that doesn't let a 3rd party app connect for a second time. This is why you're not able to connect your Pinterest account with Viraltag.

We've reached out to Pinterest, and they are working on releasing a permanent fix for this issue. In the meantime, we've figured out a workaround that lets you post to your normal boards :

1) Head over to https://www.pinterest.com/settings

2) Under Apps > Revoke Access for Viraltag (This way we are re-connecting with Pinterest like it's the first time)

3) Go to your Viraltag dashboard http://app.viraltag.com/accounts  and remove any Pinterest accounts you may have an issue with.

4) Click on the 'Connect' button next to the Pinterest icon to reconnect your account.

This will let you post to all your Normal boards without any roadblocks.

If you still face any issues - don't hesitate to contact us at support@viraltag.com or leave us a message in our in-app chat.
