Virtually allows you to generate calendar invites through your existing personal or company Google Calendar account.

Check out this video or read the instructions below:

Installation

To do this, login to your account.

Next, click "Settings" from the school admin dashboard.

Toggle over to the "Integrations" tab. From here, search for Google Calendar and click 'Connect'.

From there, follow the integration steps presented to you.

Be sure to check all permission boxes when connecting your Google Calendar to Virtually.

NOTE: If you forget to check this box, Virtually will not be able to send events to Google Calendar. That said, you can delete Virtually from your approved apps list via the link below and then try to integrate again:

https://myaccount.google.com/permissions?pli=1

You'll be prompted to choose the calendar you'd like to connect to Virtually. You have the option to connect multiple calendars as well.

Once this is completed, you'll be able to specify which events go to which calendar every time you create an event on Virtually. This is a big help when it comes to tracking school events.

Important Note:

The email you use to complete the integration must have admin access to the calendars you add in order for Virtually to be able to send events to those calendars.

If the email you use to integrate with Virtually did not create the calendars you'd like to include, make sure whoever did create those calendars adds your email and selects 'Make changes and manage sharing' in their Google Calendar Settings.

Usage

Meetings

We will create Google Calendar invites on your behalf.

Users

As an admin, you can connect to multiple calendars. From there, you can specify which calendar you'd like to export a given event to when you create events in Virtually.

Remove Integration

In order to disconnect your Google Calendar from Virtually, simply go to your Admin view --> Settings --> Integrations. From there, you can click 'Disconnect' and you're all set!
