With Virtually's Draft Events feature, you can start the process of creating an event and publish it to your members only once all the details have been finalized.

About Draft Events

The draft events feature in Virtually lets you take the first few steps of creating an event and save it to Virtually. Draft events do NOT go out to your calendar and invites do not get sent. (Until you choose to publish the event of course!)

When you save an event as a draft, you can easily go in and edit the following event information as well:

  • Event name

  • Description

  • Date and Time

  • Add external guests

  • Security settings

  • Post session feedback survey toggle

However, when you create a draft event, you will not be able to edit the following fields:

  • Recurring information

  • Conference location

  • Guest list

  • Calendar

  • Notifications (i.e. calendar invites)

  • Reminders

How to Access the Draft Events Feature

1. When creating an event in Virtually, click the 'Save as draft button' button once you've added your desired event details:

2. You'll see a pop-up with the following information about draft events:

3. Once you've created your draft event, head to your calendar tab where you'll see your event appear with a 'Draft' icon.

4. You'll also see the Draft icon in your calendar view in Virtually.

5. When you're ready to publish your event, just head to the draft, click 'Edit Draft,' and create your event as you normally would clicking the 'Create Event' button.
