While most learners start an online learning program expecting to finish, sometimes life can happen. Students can defer, drop out, or fully disappear.

With new member statuses in Virtually, you can make sure any 'inactive' students aren't included in event invites, reminder messages, reports, automations, and more.

How to Change a Member's Status

You can change a members' status by using the 'Bulk Actions' button in your Member Database.

Just select the checkboxes of the members whose status you'd like to change, click the 'Bulk Actions' button and select 'Change Status.'

From there, you can select if you'd like the selected Members to be Active or Inactive.

Member status appears as the final column on the right. Active members will have a green dot, while inactive members will have a red dot.

What Each Status Means

When you change a status in Virtually, our system will notify you what each status means. Read on to see:

How to Import Member Status

You can also determine a student's status when importing members to Virtually via CSV. Just add a column that says 'Status' and write 'Active' or 'Inactive.'

This action is only relevant if your CSV import has inactive learners.

If you import a CSV with no 'Status' column, all learners will be marked as 'Active' as the default status.
