Can I marry my relative?
Can I marry my relative?
Updated over a year ago

In the state of Utah, you cannot marry anyone who is more closely related to you than your first cousin. In cases of first cousins, though, they must meet ONE of the following requirements:

-Both parties are over the age of 65

-Both parties are over the age of 55 AND have been deemed incapable of reproduction by a court. They must supply the court documents prior to their ceremony.

These cases can require some extra communication with Utah County. If this is your situation, please email us at hello@virtualmarriage.com and we can help you.
