How expiration dates work

How expiration dates work and why you receive emails

Updated over 7 months ago

What is the expiration date?

The expiration date is the date on which the case will be automatically deleted from the system. The expiration date is set to two years after a case has been received.

Why do I receive emails?

One week before the expiration date date, you will receive email reminders that the expiration date is approaching and that the case will be automatically deleted.

Remember that:

A case cannot be kept for more than two years after a follow-up case has been closed according to the Whistleblowing Act*.

A deleted case cannot be restored.
