Radiology Assist is a program that helps patients access affordable imaging services, such as MRIs, CT scans, ultrasounds, and X-rays, at discounted self-pay rates, especially for those who are:

  • Uninsured

  • Underinsured

  • Have high-deductible health plans

  • Or prefer to pay out-of-pocket

Key Features of Radiology Assist:

  • Transparent pricing: Patients know the full cost up front.

  • Discounted rates: Often significantly lower than standard retail imaging prices.

  • No insurance required: Primarily designed for people without insurance, though insured patients can sometimes still use it

  • Nationwide network: Partners with thousands of imaging centers across the U.S.

  • Fast scheduling: You can request appointments directly through their website.

  • Cash-based model: Payment is typically required in advance.

Follow these steps to self-register for an imaging service with Radiology Assist:

2.) Under the drop down menus on the home screen, click the "off" toggle to the left of "Multiple Studies? Turn on advanced search" to turn it on (Note: do this even if you are only scheduling one imaging service, as it allows you to search by CPT code rather than needing to select several drop down options.)

3.) Locate your CPT code. This is a five digit number that should be located in the middle section of your Care Coordination form, and it specifies which imaging service you need.

11.) Review your order and information, and confirm the pricing is correct. Payment must be made upfront before your service will be scheduled. Complete payment. You will receive an email confirmation of payment.

12.) Once submitted with a completed payment, Radiology Assist will contact the imaging center you chose and schedule your appointment. You will receive a confirmation email or call with your appointment date and time.

13.) On appointment day, bring your photo ID and arrive promptly at or before your appointment time. Be sure to request your results be faxed to Vitable Health. Our fax number is listed on your Care Coordination form in red.

14.) When results are received, Vitable will upload them to your My Medical Files section in the Vitable App and contact you to schedule a follow-up telehealth visit with your provider.
