Can I receive free testing, screening, and diagnosis for breast and cervical cancer in Maryland?

  • Yes, Maryland’s Breast and Cervical Cancer Screening Program (BCCP) provides services to women who are eligible.

What services are offered?

  • ​Clinical breast exam (CBE)

  • Mammograms (screening and diagnostic)

  • Breast ultrasound

  • Surgical consultation

  • Breast biopsy

  • Pap test

  • HPV test

  • Colposcopy and cervical biopsy

  • Case management and care coordination

How do I qualify for these services?

  • Residency: Must be a Maryland resident

  • Insurance: Lacking health insurance completely or unable to cover services in full

  • Age:

    • 21-64 for cervical cancer screening

    • 40-64 for breast cancer screening

    • 65+ call for more information

  • Income: You and your household (you, dependents under 18, and spouse) must have a household income below 250% of the federal poverty guidelines
