B complex vitamins are water soluble, meaning they dissolve in water and are not stored in the body. Your body will therefore use what it needs and the rest is then excreted in your urine. This emphasises the importance of taking the vitamins to replenish your stores every day! It doesn't mean your body isn't absorbing them - the body is simply getting rid of any excess.
