The differences between our personalised vitamin packs

Vitamins are nutrients that the body requires to carry out daily functions. Because the body is unable to make most of these vitamins, we must get them from our diet.

Although supplements cannot be a replacement for a healthy diet, it is important to realise that many Western diets are lacking in vital nutrients, including those in the UK. With this in mind, we have created an online consultation to pinpoint where your diet may be lacking.

Once you've taken our online consultation at vitl.com you will be recommended a Personalised Pack and an Essential One. Both types of vitamin packs are displayed in your account so that you may compare the two before deciding which one is best for you.

The Personalised Pack (4-a-day)

The Personalised Pack is the more comprehensive of our personalised vitamin packs as it contains 4 daily pills designed to be taken together and has a wider range of vitamins and minerals. It targets specific health goals and alleviates potential symptoms. This pack contains 28 days' worth of supplements, with each day consisting of the 4 different pills. Each week is packaged in a strip and sealed with foil. Your subscription will renew every 28 days. Whilst 4 pills may sound like a lot, this is a great way to cover all bases.

The Essential One (1-a-day)

The Essential One is a personalised one-a-day multivitamin containing 6-9 different vitamins and minerals that are tailored to you, depending on the results of your consultation. It focuses on the nutrients that are typically found to be lacking in people’s everyday diets, based on the latest National Diet and Nutrition Survey in the UK. This is designed as a 'booster' to your lifestyle and is the cheaper of the personalised vitamins. It contains 30 pills and comes in a recyclable glass bottle. Your subscription will renew every 30 days.

We advise taking either the Personalised Pack or the Essential One, depending on your health goals. We advise against subscribing to both as this may cause you nutrient intake to go above the tolerable upper limits (the maximum amount of nutrient that can be consumed safely over a long period of time).

So, in simple terms, the Essential One is a 30 day supply of a 1-a-day booster.

The Personalised Pack is a 28 day supply of a 4-a-day all-rounder.
