My client can't book their GP consultation

What to do if your client is having trouble booking the GP consultation required for their Medicare-supported Baseline Health Check.

For clients using the Medicare-supported Baseline Health Check pathway, a GP consultation is required so the consulting doctor can independently review the requested testing and determine the appropriate pathology request.

If your client is having trouble booking their consultation, there are a few things they can check.

1. Make sure they've completed the required onboarding steps

Before booking their GP consultation, your client may need to complete the required steps in their Vively referral, including providing their details and consent.

Ask your client to return to the link provided by Vively and check whether there are any outstanding actions.

2. Ask them to try the booking link again

If your client has received their GP consultation booking link but can't complete the booking, ask them to reopen the link and try again.

They may also find it helpful to try another browser or device if the booking page isn't loading correctly.

3. What if there are no suitable appointment times?

If your client can access the booking system but can't find a suitable appointment time, please ask them to check the available appointments again later or contact Practitioner Support for assistance.

4. What if they haven't received the booking information?

Ask your client to check their Spam or Junk folder and search their inbox for emails relating to their Vively referral.

If they still can't locate the information needed to book their consultation, please contact Practitioner Support.

Can I book the GP consultation for my client?

The client should complete the GP booking process themselves, as the consultation forms part of their individual Medicare-supported pathway and requires their personal details and participation.
