Your Wellness Score

Learn about your Wellness Score and how it's calculated.

Your Wellness Score can be found when clicking on your Insights tab on the bottom bar. When you click on Your Wellness Score, you'll see your Daily, Weekly and Monthly Scores to get a picture of your progress over time.

Your Wellness Score is made up of several components, these are called your Wellness Contributors.

    • Food Score

    • Fasting Window

    • Sleep Duration

    • Sleep Timing

    • Last Activity

    • Exercise score

    • Resting Heart Rate

    • Heart Rate Variability Balance

Let's go into more depth about each.

Food Contributors*

These are your Food Score, Food Timing and Fasting Window.

  • Your Food Score is calculated using your CGM data. The app will calculate your Food score out of 10 for each meal you log and then determine the average. The score is calculated using your blood glucose response and is an average of your three lowest scoring food logs.

  • Fasting Window is calculated using your CGM data and your Apple Health/Google Fit data. It is the average time between dinner and breakfast.

    *Note: you will only receive the above food insights when you're wearing your CGM. If you're not wearing a CGM, your Wellness Score will be calculated from the rest of the contributors. If you don't have any data coming through from one contributor, it will not have any bearing on your Wellness Score.

Sleep Contributors

These are your Sleep Duration and Sleep Timing.

  • Sleep Duration is calculated using your Apple Health/Google Fit data. This is how many hours sleep you get on average.

  • Sleep Timing is calculated using your CGM and Apple Health/Google Fit data. This is how much time there is between your last meal and sleep, on average.

Activity Contributors

These are your Last Activity and Exercise Score.

  • Last Activity is calculated from your Apple Health/Google Fit data. This is the last time you exercised.

  • Your Exercise Score is calculated from your Apple Health/Google Fit data. This is your average daily exercise in minutes.

Longevity

This is your Resting Heart Rate.

  • Resting Heart Rate is calculated from your wearable device (if you have one). This is your average resting heart rate. This is only available on Apply devices right now.

Autonomic stress

This is your heart rate variability (HRV) Balance.

  • HRV Balance compares your previous 2-week heart rate variability to your 3-month average. HRV is calculated from your wearable device (if you have one). This is your average resting heart rate. This is only available on Apply devices right now.

So, your Wellness Score takes into account all of the above! To get an accurate Wellness Score, you'll need to log everything as best you can.

If a component is missing above, for example if you aren't wearing a CGM or if you haven't enabled your sleep with Apple Health/Google Fit, this won't have any bearing on your Wellness Score.

Remember, try not to be too hard on yourself! This is a journey, the tiny steps you're making are amazing and are what will get you to feeling your best.
