How to Create a Custom Report: Short Guide

Below is a brief overview of the steps needed to create a custom report within the Explore feature.

Click the Explore button on the left and choose Create New Report.

STEP 1: PROFILE TAB

To run a creative report for advertisers you’ve added to your profile via the My Profiles section, select a Profile in the drop-down menu:

Then choose either Link (Brands/Categories linked to selected profile) or Populate (All selections originally copied from profile).

To run a report with no profile selections included, choose None from the drop-down menu.

STEP 2: LAYOUT TAB

SORTS

In this section you’ll select your level of detail for each of the following options:

  • Category

  • Product

  • Media/Time

  • Digital

  • Media Specific

MEASURES

Select which deliverable you want to appear in your report. Additional measures are available, but the main options include:

  • Dollars

  • Units

  • IMP's

  • Ratings

COLUMN/TYPE

Choose the level of detail you would like to see in the columns of your report. Additional column options are available, but the main options include:

  • Time Period

  • Pivot Export

  • Media

  • Property

STEP 3: MEDIA/MARKETS TAB

MEDIA

In this section you’ll select the media type you want to include in your report. You can check the box at the top to select all or click on the arrows on the left to select specific media types.

MARKETS

Select which markets you would like to include in your report. You can check the box at the top to select all or select individual markets.

STEP 4: BRANDS/CATEGORIES TAB

In this section you’ll search for and add any advertisers, brands, categories, etc.

Start by clicking on the search bar, then type the name of the advertiser, or category.

Check the box of your selection and click the ADD button at the bottom of the menu.

STEP 5: TIME PERIODS

In this section you’ll select the time period needed for your report.

You can select regular Calendar or Broadcast calendar.

From there you can break your report out by:

  • Single/Campaign

  • Day

  • Week

  • Month

  • Quarter

  • Year

STEP 6: NAME & RUN REPORT

Once you name the report, click the Run button in the top-right corner.

To see the status of the report, click the three small dots, which opens a dropdown menu with three options.

Select View Results List to download your report.

NOTE: Make sure to name the report before you run it.

STEP 6: DOWNLOAD REPORT

Once the report is completed click on the three dots under the Action column.

You now have the option to download your report into an Excel, PDF, or CSV file.

You can also view how the report was created by clicking on Info, Share the report, or Delete it.
