The Explore Module within Vivvix allows for the ability to run custom reports showing a chronological, spot-by-spot log of all advertisers which appeared during high profile televised events. Preliminary information is available in Vivvix next day!

You can run a TV Log showing all spots which ran on a TV station during the day of the event. This allows for the ability to analyze not only the advertisers which appeared in the high profile event itself, but also advertisers who appeared during any pre/post event programs running that day.

TO GET STARTED:

Click the Explore button located on the left-side menu and choose Create New Report.

STEP 1: PROFILE TAB

To run a report for advertisers you’ve added to your profile via the My Profiles section, select a Profile in the drop-down menu:

Then choose either Link (Brands/Categories linked to selected profile) or Populate (All selections originally copied from profile).

To run a report with no profile selections included, meaning you would like to run a report from scratch which is not tied to your profile, choose None from the drop-down menu.

STEP 2: LAYOUT TAB

SORTS (Left side)

Select the following Sorts:

  • Date/Time

  • Day of Week

  • Advertiser (or Brand)

  • Property

  • Length

  • Program

  • Program Type

You can also include:

  • Pod Position

  • Pod Placement

  • Program Cluster

  • Program Genre

*Please Note: When you select Date/Time as your first sort, you may get a pop-up window. Click the checkmark icon at the bottom of the pop-up window to continue.

MEASURES (Middle column)

Dollars will be the default measure.

SELECTED SORTS & MEASURES (Right side)

Selected Sorts

If you see blue dots next to each sort, it means that a subtotal will be added for each sort selected.

You can click the blue dots to turn subtotals OFF for any level you do not want subtotaled.

To turn off all subtotals, click the 3-Dot action menu located at the top-right corner of the selected sorts view, then choose Deselect all Subtotals.

Column Type: Click the Column Type drop-down and choose TV Schedule.

STEP 3: MEDIA/MARKETS TAB

Media (Left side)

Choose the TV media type needed to run your TV Log report.

  • To run a TV log for ads airing locally on a broadcast station in a market, choose Spot TV.

  • To run a TV log for ads airing on national networks, choose Network TV, Spanish Language Network TV, or Cable TV.

Properties (Right side)

Click into the search field under Properties and search for the media property (TV station) which aired the event.

Click the checkbox to the left of the media property to select, then click ADD at the bottom.

STEP 4: BRANDS/CATEGORIES TAB

To run a TV Log report for ALL advertisers which appeared during the event, you can SKIP the Brands/Categories tab. The default for this tab is ALL, which means that if you want to include all advertisers, you do not have to select any advertisers in this tab. You have already told Explore to break your report out by Advertiser by including Advertiser as a Sort in Step 2: Layout.

Skip this tab to run a report for ALL advertisers who appeared during the high profile event.

STEP 5: TIME PERIODS TAB

Under Frequency (Left side), choose Day.

Click on the up/down arrows in the middle column to advance to the date needed.

Select the day the event aired in the calendar.

Click the + icon to add that date to your report.

Scroll to the bottom of the Time Period Selections box and uncheck ALL time period trim options:

  • Only include time periods for which complete data is available

  • Final Data Only

  • Include only properties monitored for all selected time periods

Unchecking the time period trim options ensures you will be pulling the preliminary data which is available in the system the next day.

*Please Note: Partial/Next Day TV data is considered un-edited “raw” data and is subject to change. Meaning, if a program runs long, it may take a few days for program titles to adjust and appear correctly. You may also notice gaps in the log. Any brand-new ads which aired during the event may take a few additional days for our classifiers to review and enter into the system. The log should be officially complete 48-72 hours after the event airs.

Go to the top-left corner of your report and give your report a title.

Click the Run arrow located on the right to save your template and run your report.

Please feel free to download the guide included below if you would like to retain these steps! This guide is specific to the Super Bowl, but you can apply the same steps to any high profile televised event.
