The Incentives page is where custom incentives can be created and tracked. The top of the page includes filters for Status (completed, missing documents, processing, processing failed), Active or Inactive, Start Date, and End Date. The Incentives themselves sit below these filters under either Completed Incentives or Incomplete Incentives. Incentives can be based around a number of various metrics like maintaining a high tier in scorecard performance or achieving a high ranking amongst all drivers. Each Incentive in this page also includes the incentive name, the week it took place, what type of incentive it is (threshold, streak, leaderboard-based, or squad), its status (complete or incomplete), and whether it is recurring.
Create Incentive: In the top right of the Incentives page, there is a button to “Create Incentive.” Customizable features of an incentive like incentive name, incentive type (threshold, streak, leaderboard-based, or squad), recurring or not recurring, eligible drivers, reward type, metric requirements, and more can be selected here.
Going deeper into each incentive type, Threshold incentives pay out when one or more metrics (thresholds) are met. Streak incentives pay out when one or more metrics are met for multiple weeks in a row. Leaderboard incentives pay out when a driver is among the top drivers for a given metric. Squad incentives pay out when all drivers in an assigned squad meet one or more requirements. To actually create an incentive, the relevant requirements, rewards, and eligible drivers must be selected.
Requirements are based on categories of metrics like, Team: This category includes team-specific metrics like the team’s on-road safety standing, the team’s high performers share percentage, the team’s customer delivery feedback DPMO, etc. Individual: This category includes individual-specific metrics like the driver’s seatbelt off rate, the driver’s current week rank, the driver’s # of shifts, etc. Individual (Trailing Six Weeks): This category includes Trailing 6 week Individual metrics like the driver’s trailing six week distraction rate, the driver’s trailing six week CDF, the driver’s trailing six week rank, etc. Individual (Daily): This category includes daily individual-specific metrics like the driver’s shift clock out time, the driver’s pre-trip vehicle inspections, the driver’s pre-trip vehicle inspection duration, etc.
Rewards: Once requirements and related metrics are in place, you must determine the conditions/operators for the reward to be received. Driver or Team performance can be compared to a given metric based on the following conditions/operators: greater than, less than, equal to, greater than or equal to, and less than or equal to. You then must select the reward type.
Once reward type, metrics, and conditions/operators are set, you can reward Drivers through the following categories of metrics, Dollar Bonus: add a dollar bonus on a Driver’s hourly rate. Dollar Bonus per Package: add a specific dollar bonus per a Driver’s delivered packages. Guaranteed Hours: allow a Driver to have a guaranteed shift or shift(s) in the case that their availability cannot be fulfilled. Custom: presents a free form text box so a Driver can be rewarded however you see fit
