OCR from Web or Share Sheet

Updated today

You can import the main text of a web page into Voicepaper using the Share button.

Please use this feature only within the scope allowed by law (for example, personal use). Text imported with this feature cannot be shared externally.

Method 1: Import by tapping the Voicepaper icon (easy)

Open the web page you want to import and tap the Share button.

From the app row in the Share Sheet, tap the Voicepaper icon. Voicepaper extracts the text automatically and saves it to the Reading List.

When you open Voicepaper, the imported text is added to the Reading List.

Method 2: Import with Save to Voicepaper

In the action list (below the app row), tap Save to Voicepaper. You can review and edit the extracted text before saving, and you can also choose a destination playlist.

This is useful when you want to check the text content first or save it into a specific playlist.

If Voicepaper does not appear in the Share Sheet

If the Voicepaper icon or Save to Voicepaper is not shown, you need to add it.

Add the icon: Scroll to the right end of the app row and tap More. Tap Edit (top-right) and enable Voicepaper.

Add Save to Voicepaper: Scroll to the bottom of the action list and tap Edit Actions… then enable Save to Voicepaper.
