Create a New Text

Updated today

From the Reading List, you can create a new blank text. This is useful when you want to type text you want to listen to yourself, or leave a memo to listen to later.

Open from the Reading List

1. Tap the Clipboard button (document icon) in the bottom toolbar on the Reading List screen.

2. From the menu, tap "Create a New Text".

Enter a Title

The "Title" input dialog appears. You cannot create it with an empty title, so enter even a short name and tap "Done".

Enter the Body Text

After confirming the title, the editor screen opens. You can type with the keyboard, or paste text copied from another app and edit it.

Save

The top-right button shows "Done" while the keyboard is displayed, and changes to "Save" after the keyboard is closed. "Done" only closes the keyboard and does not save. To save and add it to the list, close the keyboard with "Done" first, then tap "Save".

Edit the Title and Body

The title shown at the top of the editor screen is a button. Tap the title area to change it anytime. If you want to edit it again after creating, open the top-right menu (globe icon) on the text screen and choose "Text Edit".

Cancel

You can close it with "Cancel" in the top-left. If you already entered body text and then cancel, a confirmation is shown.
