Default behavior
By default, when VoiceRules creates activities in Pipedrive for your text messages, it attributes those messages to the owner of the phone number. Basically, we pick the integration details of the VoiceRules agent assigned to the phone number, and activities are assigned to this Pipedrive user. Owners of VoiceRules phone numbers can be configured under our phone numbers section.
Behavior after the recipe is enabled
When this recipe is enabled, VoiceRules can assign activities to Pipedrive users dynamically based on ownership of deals and contacts. While logging a text message, we search for deals and organizations linked to a contact in Pipedrive. VoiceRules then attributes your text message activities to the Pipedrive user owning that deal (deal owner). In case, we don't find a deal, VoiceRules will then look for the Pipedrive user owning that contact (Contact owner) and attribute the text activities to the owner of the contact.
Take for example in the screenshot below, the contact “Hello World” is owned by a Pipedrive user “Prateek”, but since the deal associated with this contact is assigned to “Chand Kiran Singh”, the activity that we pushed into Pipedrive is assigned to the deal owner.
This recipe helps our customers to have activities assigned to either deal owners or contact owners and have them attributed to Pipedrive users who want these activities to remain on their personal sales radar.
