We log text messages as activities in Pipedrive. However, some of the businesses we work with have asked us to log text messages as notes in the past. In this case, we log your incoming and outgoing text messages against contact profiles. But instead of logging them as activities, we log them as notes.
We don't recommend this, though, since notes as an entity are not trackable in Pipedrive reports. However, if you are someone who does a lot of text messages with each customer, then this becomes helpful.
