VoiceRules and Pipedrive integration allow you to log activities automatically for any texts that you send/receive via your business numbers.

These activities are logged against your contacts (and associated deals) on Pipedrive if our systems are able to find a matching contact for the phone number in your Pipedrive address book.

VoiceRules logs an activity even if we don’t find a contact in your Pipedrive address book. These activities are present under the activities section. However, we don’t associate them with contact since there is no matching contact for that phone number.

How does this work?

You can enable a setting here in VoiceRules to create a new contact for these instances. VoiceRules will create a new contact – “New VoiceRules Contact” on your Pipedrive account for such text messages.

You can even choose to create new deals if you want along with these new contacts.

Steps to enable this:

  • Head over to the integration section of your VoiceRules account.

  • Click on configure against Pipedrive integration.

  • Under the general settings tab, enable the toggle to create new contacts and tick "create new deals against the contact" if you want VoiceRules to also create new deals while creating a new contact.

  • Click on save changes from the bottom right of the page.

Thus, this feature allows you to create new contacts and deals for SMS (text messages) in your Pipedrive account easily if a contact doesn’t exist. One can even choose to turn off this feature if they don’t want new contacts appearing in their Pipedrive account.
