Creating a Multi Shot Workout

Written by Scott Berry

Open the Volley App: Access the app and navigate to your sport section for your designated sport (Platform Tennis, Padel, Pickleball, Tennis).

Create a New Workout:

  • Go to “My Workouts (Create & Play)” under the Personal section.

  • Click on “Create Workout” and then select “Multi Shot.”

Set up the workout:

  • Workout Name: Enter a unique name for the workout.

  • Overview: Provide a description of the workout, detailing the number of shots and sets.

  • Trainer Position: Specify the court position for the trainer.

  • Player Position: Define where the player will be positioned (typically across the net of the trainer position).

  • Height: Set the desired height for the trainer

Configure the Shots:

  • Add Shots: Click the "+" button to begin adding new shots to your workout.

    1. Name the Shot: Enter a name for each shot to identify it easily during training.

  • Adjust Speed: Set the speed in MPH for the shot. You can introduce variance to the speed (+/- 5 MPH) to simulate more natural playing conditions, or set it to no variance to ensure consistent speed with each delivery.

  • Spin and Intensity: Choose the type of spin you want to apply and adjust the intensity of the spin. This setting influences how the ball behaves in the air and upon landing.

Note: Not all spin intensity is available at top speeds

  • Aim: Determine the aim of each shot using degrees.

    1. Negative degrees aim the ball to the left side of the court (deuce side).

    2. Positive degrees direct the ball to the right side (ad side).

    3. Add variance to the aim (slight, moderate, or large) to change the accuracy range of each shot, or select no variance to maintain a fixed aim point.

  • Arc: Specify the arc in degrees to control how high or low the ball travels over the net. Adding slight variance here can make the ball arc slightly higher or lower, adding unpredictability to the shot.

  • Shot Padding: Adjust the shot timing setting to alter the timing between shots. This can slow down or maintain the rate at which shots are fed, based on the default speed rate already set.

  • Shot Order: Organize the sequence of the shots. You can set them to fire in a sequential order or choose to have them randomized to enhance the training challenge.

Feed

  • Feed Rate: Set the preset rate to the desired rate you want balls to come out of the Trainer

  • Number of Balls: Set the duration of the workout from 1 ball to All balls
