Wi-Fi Setup for the Trainer

Written by Scott Berry

Your Volley Trainer uses Wi-Fi as the primary connection, with cellular as a backup. To ensure a strong and stable connection, we need to connect your Trainer to your club’s Wi-Fi just once during setup.

Why Wi-Fi Matters

  • More stable and faster connection for software updates

  • Reliable video uploads and session syncing

  • Prevents Trainer from defaulting to cellular-only mode, which is less consistent and may be slower in some areas

What You Need to Do

Please send us the following details from your club’s network:

  • Wi-Fi Network Name (SSID)

  • Wi-Fi Password

You can send these details directly to your Volley contact

Note: Your Wi-Fi credentials are only used to set up and secure your Trainer and are not stored beyond configuration.

Tips

  • If your club has multiple Wi-Fi networks, we recommend using the one with the strongest signal on-court.

  • If the signal is weak or inconsistent, consider using a Wi-Fi extender near your court area.

What Happens Next

Once we receive your Wi-Fi details, we’ll:

  1. Configure your Trainer remotely

  2. Ensure it connects to Wi-Fi as its primary network

  3. Confirm cellular is active only as a backup, not the main connection
