You have done some volunteering, it is now time to submit a report!

So you have completed your volunteering, what next? After your mission or after each shift, your charity would love to hear from you, you may wish to report back to:

Log volunteering time

Submit an expense claim

Flag an issue or raise an action to your charity

Complete a mission and remove it from your ongoing list

Essentially you use the report feature to communicate with your charity with any information relevant to that mission. Your charity decides the questions they want you to answer, they might want you to submit volunteering time, any issues and any feedback in text form. Any queries about the questions asked in your reporting section please contact the charity you're volunteering with.

Please note that to submit an expense claim, you must submit a report also.

To submit a report, open the app, open the mission you wish to submit a report for which should be in your Ongoing missions list. If it is not here, either you are not approved or have been removed from the mission, we recommend contacting your charity in this case.

Once in the mission, you should see a selection of buttons at the top. One of these should be "Report", press this.

This will open the report entry page. The reports are set up by the charity based on the information they wish to collect. It's really important to fill in a report after your volunteering as it gives your organisation valuable information about your volunteering activity, which could lead to raising safeguarding concerns or all the hours you put in will create amazing insights for the the organisation. Very useful when applying for extra funding.

Submitting an expense

Your organisation will decide whether they will allow for receipt to be uploaded for that particular mission or shift. If it is enabled it will show up as a toggle button in your report.

  • Firstly, ensure when you submit the report you select the "Would you like to add receipts?" option.

  • Submit the report

  • The following page will now show up

  • Add a photo

Here you can submit any evidence such as receipts or train tickets.

  • Receipt Date

  • Amount to claim

This is the value of the claim you are making. You can select the currency here as well.

  • Milage

If miles are not relevant please put 0.

  • Comments

Include any justification or comments about the claim that may help your charity when deciding how to process it.
