Gain even more insights into the impact of your work with Volunteero's survey feature. Each survey generates a campaign which can be shown to volunteers directly in their apps and also shared externally through a direct link or custom-branded QR code. (Scroll to the end for an example)
Here are some of the best survey examples we've seen for surveys so far!
|
1. New volunteer feedback
Set up a campaign that captures feedback from new volunteers about their experience with your recruitment, onboarding and training experience. You'll also get fresh insight into how new volunteers perceive your activities, approach and overall culture of your organisation. This approach sets the tone for new volunteers that you value their opinion.
Tip: Consider awarding a badge to a new volunteer for sharing feedback!
Ask questions such as:
How would you describe your experience so far?
How would you rate your onboarding experience with us?
2. Getting to know you
A quick skills-scanning survey can have huge rewards for gaining a better understanding of your volunteer base. It's more than likely that you'll find out valuable details about your volunteers here, including lived experiences, professional roles, community connections, hobbies, interests and passions! All of which you can leverage for events, connections or where you need a volunteer with a specific skill set.
What do you do for work?
What are your hobbies/ interests?
3. Annual Survey
We'd always recommend getting into the habit of capturing annual feedback from your volunteer teams. Ongoing learning and development of your volunteering activities is essential to retaining volunteers and adapting to the ever-changing voluntary sector world.
What has been your most memorable moment volunteering this year?
What have you achieved in your role?
Do you have any goals for volunteering?
4. Exit Survey
You can set up an automated exit survey to be sent to volunteers when you remove their app access. This can glean valuable insights from volunteers about what areas your organisation excels in and what could be improved with the volunteer experience.
Ask questions such as:
Would you recommend volunteering with us?
How would you rate your experience?
5. Event/ kit ordering
Capture one-off information on mass such as T-shirt sizes, dietary requirements or medical issues.
6. Client Survey
Create a client-focused campaign on Volunteero to gain insight directly from your clients about the impact of your work. Share the link or QR code directly with clients or have a volunteer support them to complete.
Ask questions about their experience with your service, a specific volunteer or how the organisation has impacted their health, well-being or connections.
7. Stakeholders and partner organisations
Customise a feedback survey that will be shared to any partnering organisations or stakeholders. This may include questions about the value of your partnership, work achieved together or any future ambitions.
This approach can be particularly useful during annual reporting periods.
8. Trustee feedback
Your board of trustees can sometimes get overlooked when it comes to feedback. You can change that by setting up a specific Trustee feedback survey. Capture how they feel about their roles, their contributions and their hopes for the future.
9. Workshop/ session attendees
If your organisation holds regular workshops or sessions as part of your volunteering projects then you could be missing out on lots of data from those attendees!
Have a QR code on hand for attendees to scan and complete their Volunteero survey and ask them:
What did they think of the session?
How could it be improved?
What did they learn?
Anything they'd like to share about the volunteers or session leads?
10. Project completion
When a project reaches the end of it's life cycle, you can use this as an opportunity to capture feedback from a wide range of volunteers, participants, stakeholders and partners which can all be used as content in your end-of-project report/ summary!
11. Case study questions
Optimise your admin time by having case study questions laid out in a Volunteero survey, share this as and when you'd like to produce a case study and flesh out the answers into a written blog once you have them back.
12. Quote capturing
Similar to case studies, but short and sweet! Capture snappy quotes that you can use for recruitment or promotional purposes.
13. Volunteero feedback
Last but not least! Why not survey your volunteers to ask how they feel about Volunteero! There may be some really interesting insights into how the app has changed the way they volunteer, and also some suggestions for how staff users could make better use of features. Any ideas or feedback surrounding feature developments from volunteers please send them our way! We're always keen to develop based on how volunteers want to see the app work ๐ค
