Indirect Applications

we show you which channels offered an indirect application

Updated over a week ago

What is changing?

We present you a new chart in Recruitment Analytics. This chart will show you which channels have been used by an applicant and lead to an indirect application; the applicant did apply later through another channel. So we don’t only give insights into what the channel is that was used by the applicant to the actual application, but also which channels helped in leading to that application.

How does this benefit me?

This chart will give you better insights into how channels in your campaign are performing. Next to that it will give you insights in indirect applications, and there is no need to go to another tracking tool to get the full insights on those indirect applications.

Where can I find this information?

In your Recruitment Analytics dashboard you will find the Indirect Applications chart.

What are indirect applications?

The idea of indirect applications is based on attribution.

Attribution modeling is a framework for analyzing which touchpoints, or marketing channels, receive credit for a conversion. There are different attribution models, and each attribution model distributes the value of a conversion across each touchpoint differently.

Attribution models are useful, but they're also one of the more complicated topics in (job)marketing.

Let’s make it clear. If we use your campaign as an example:

You look at your Recruitment Analytics and see a lot of applications come from one job board, you see some traffic coming from other job boards but no applications.

You're evaluating if you should keep investing in those job boards for your next campaigns. How do you prove the value of those job boards?

With the Indirect Applications chart you will be able to see the contribution of those channels that might, at first glance, not contribute to the end goal.

What could reasons be for this number of assists being a bit on the low side?

Reasons for this number being low are usually:

  • people don’t click other channels for the same vacancy that much.

  • 3rd party cookies expire/are cleaned up
