How to enable performance notifications

Performance notifications represent your current service performance: service downtime, free memory below the required threshold, processor usage below or above normal values or port is detected as closed.

To enable a performance notification, in the "Server Admin > Endpoint Policies > System > Performance" section of the Web App, just enable the box before its label and save the policy.

You can also configure these settings on the VSA 10 Agent itself. However, the Web App Policy settings (if applied to the same machine) will always take precedence over the individual agent settings.

Also, Policies are naturally more convenient for applying such monitoring rules, as they can be applied to multiple machines simultaneously.

To configure this setting on the Agent, go to the "Notifications > Performance" tab.

Note: You will be notified if a monitored service has “Automatic” startup type and is not started when VSA 10 Service starts.
