How To Manage Your Content

Updated over 3 weeks ago

VSCO is a community-driven platform that equips photographers with the tools, community, and professional exposure they need to expand creatively and professionally.

Our goal is to help you make it, therefore content posted to your VSCO profile is public. Our approach to privacy and safety is specialized to the needs of our creators, and that includes giving creators control over their own content.

This article acts as a guide for how to manage and protect your content across your VSCO experience:

VSCO Studio

Studio

Your imported and edited media is stored in your VSCO Studio, which is separate from your VSCO Profile. All media located in your Studio is completely private unless you choose to publish it to VSCO. This applies to your Studio on mobile, on web, and the desktop app.

Profile Content

Blocking

You can block creators anywhere they could interact with you on VSCO, or by navigating to the creator’s profile.

A creator you block cannot follow you, message you, join a Space you’ve created, view content on your profile, or interact with your content anywhere on the platform. Past favorited images and republishes from the blocked creator will also be removed.

For complete details, refer to Blocking on VSCO.

Discussions

We designed Discussions in a way that gives our creators full control over their interactions.

Creators can enable or disable Discussions on each post depending on their preference, and engage in ways that feel right for them. Creators can also delete or report inappropriate Discussions, or block creators engaging in such behavior.

To learn more, visit Staying Safe with Discussions.

VSCO Spaces

Public Spaces

VSCO Spaces are available to Plus and Pro members, and when public, can be viewed by any other creator on VSCO. Any creator can collaborate with you in the Space if you accept their request to join it.

Space owners can moderate who can contribute to their Space and remove content they don’t want shared, while contributors and viewers have the ability to report anything they come across that may violate our Community Guidelines.

Private Spaces

VSCO Spaces can be set to be private, invite only groups.

Private Spaces are not searchable on VSCO and can only be accessed via the shared link. While we don’t currently offer private profiles, private Spaces are a great way to collect your content in a private place.

Just like in public Spaces, Private Space owners can moderate who can contribute to their Space and remove content they don’t want shared, while contributors and viewers have the ability to report anything they come across that may violate our Community Guidelines.

To find out more, see Staying Safe with VSCO Spaces.

Client Spaces

Client Spaces has been reimagined as VSCO Galleries! You can learn more about VSCO Galleries here. Existing Client Spaces still remain accessible through their original unique link.

VSCO Blogs

Blogs

VSCO Blogs are available to Pro members, and offer a way to share untold stories, showcase behind-the-scenes moments, and share creative processes through text, photos, and embedded videos. They’re perfect for photo essays, collaborative projects, and creating narratives, helping you connect with your VSCO community and gain exposure.

Blogs can be created and edited on desktop at vsco.co, and can be viewed in the VSCO feed online and in the app. Once published, Pro members can edit, download, and delete their Blogs. Check out How to Use VSCO Blogs to learn more.

VSCO Hub

Available for Work

For Pro Members, marking that you’re available to “Professional Work” on your profile will surface your content to the vetted brands and businesses on VSCO Hub for opportunities to be hired.

If you change your mind and don’t want to be discoverable on Hub, simply un-tag your availability for “Professional Work” on your profile. You have the option to opt back in at any time.

Explore more by checking out the VSCO Hub FAQ’s article.

VSCO Galleries

Galleries

VSCO Galleries is a dedicated app designed to help photographers organize, present, and deliver their work professionally. VSCO Pro members get access to unlimited storage and password protection for private photo gallery delivery. VSCO creators without a membership can still create and share galleries with a 10GB storage limit.

VSCO Galleries also allow for outside collaborators, if enabled. By adding collaborators, you can collect photos from wedding guests, second photographers, and behind the scenes crews, all via QR code or link. Collaborators do not need to download the VSCO Galleries App or make a VSCO account to share their photos to your gallery. Collaborators can also view and download images in your gallery.
