What are Spaces?
VSCO Spaces allows you to expand your creative process with shared galleries. Create your own space to connect, collaborate, and share photography without the noise. Build a space around a particular theme, style, event, or location, or use them for group projects and moodboarding.
Safety is a critical aspect of maintaining a healthy community. Spaces are invite-only groups, capped at 150 contributors to make them safe places to learn, workshop ideas, and foster creative discussion. Owners of a space can moderate who can view and contribute to their space, while contributors and viewers have the ability to report anything they come across that may violate our Community Guidelines.

Accessing Spaces
We created Public Spaces, Private Spaces, and Client Spaces to suit the needs of all our creators. While all creators can view private and public spaces, contributing to these spaces is available to our Plus and Pro Members. Public Spaces are viewable to all creators and any creator can contribute to the space if their request to join is accepted. Private Spaces are not searchable on VSCO, are invite-only, and can only be accessed via the shared link.
Client Spaces are available to our Pro members as a way to share their work directly to clients in a safe and efficient way. All Client Spaces have a unique link only viewable by those it is shared with and are not searchable on VSCO. Client Space owners can also set a password for added security.
Engaging in Discussions
Before participating in a discussion in a space, take a moment to consider its potential impact. Is it kind, considerate, and relevant to the conversation? Or could it be considered hurtful, negative, or hostile? By thinking about your response before posting, you can help foster thoughtful engagement and a positive environment.
VSCO is not a place for harmful or illegal conduct. This means hate speech, bullying or harassment, encouragement of self harm, violent threats, or the grooming of minors is not permitted. Any violations of our Terms of Use, including our Community Guidelines, will result in appropriate action taken on your account, which can include suspension. For more information, please review our Community Guidelines and our article on How We Enforce.
It’s also important to exercise caution before sharing personal information, such as your full name, address, or contact information with others. Refrain from sharing personal information about yourself or others as it may be removed for your safety.
Moderating a VSCO Space
Each space owner plays a key role in maintaining the safety of all VSCO Spaces by actively moderating their spaces. Space owners can control who joins, report inappropriate content or conduct, remove posts and discussions, or remove contributors.
Space owners, contributors, and viewers can report posts, discussions, creators, or the space itself if they feel it violates our Community Guidelines.
Adding Creators to a Public Space
As a space owner, you can invite a creator to your space by tapping “Invite” and sharing with who you would like to add, or selecting “Copy Invite Link” from the Contributors page. You can accept or deny any request to join by tapping either the plus icon or trash can icon next to a profile name under the Requests section of the Contributors page.
Adding Creators to a Private Space
Private Spaces were designed with your safety and privacy in mind. When set to private, spaces are not searchable on VSCO and space owners are in full control of who is admitted to their space via a shared link. In order for a creator to join a private space, the space owner must share an invite link, the creator must request to join, and then the owner must accept the request. Only then can the creator view and contribute to the private space.
Changing Space Settings
A space owner can update their space’s settings at any point. Tap the Optionsicon and select “Edit space details” to edit the name, description, or access settings.
If you’d like to make a private space public, simply select “Public” and save. Your space will now be viewable and searchable to all VSCO creators.
If you’re making a public space private, all the creators whose invites were previously accepted will maintain their access. If you’d like to remove those creators, please see instructions below.
Removing Creators
Owners also have the ability to remove creators from being contributors in their space. Removing a creator from your space will end their ability to post or respond.
To remove creators from a public or private space, tap the Options icon and select “Disable previous invites”. The invite links previously shared will be disabled and those creators will no longer be able to contribute to the space.
Please note that even after creators are removed, public spaces are still viewable and searchable and private spaces will still be viewable for those with the link.
Deleting a VSCO Space
Space owners can delete a space at any time for any reason. While in the Space, tap the Optionsicon and select “Delete Space.” The space and its contents will be deleted for all contributors.
Safety Settings
VSCO offers built-in safety tools to help everyone manage their experiences in Spaces. These settings allow creators to control interactions, address unwanted behavior, and take action if something doesn’t feel right. Review the available safety settings below to help keep your experience positive and appropriate.
Reporting
If you encounter inappropriate content or conduct, please report that post, discussion, creator, or space to our Trust & Safety Team for review.
Tap the Optionsicon, select “Report”, and then select the violation type. You can also contact us through the Help Center chat window.
Blocking a creator
To block a creator, navigate to their profile, tap the Optionsicon and select “Block.”
When you block someone on VSCO they won't be able to follow you, message you, join a Space you’ve created, view content on your profile, or interact with your content anywhere on the platform. You won’t be able to interact with them either.
Blocking a creator does not prohibit them from being in a space with you, but it does prevent them from viewing, joining, or requesting to join any of your owned spaces. Blocking a creator that is already a contributor in your space will remove them.
For full details about blocking, visit Blocking on VSCO.
Leaving a VSCO Space
As a contributor, you can leave a space at any time for any reason. To leave a space, navigate to the Contributors page and tap “Leave” next to your profile name.
Leaving a space will permanently remove it from your list. While you will still be able to view the space you will no longer be able to post or respond. In order to gain access back to those features you will need to request to join the space and be admitted by the owner.
If you have any issues or questions, feel free to reach out to our Trust & Safety Team via the chat box in our VSCO Help Center.
