The most important aspect to a well-designed user interface for an application intended to be used on the Vuzix Blade is simplicity. This is largely driven by the limited amount of space on the Blade's display, but also by the constraints of the interaction methods. Here are some Guidelines that we have found work best when designing and developing applications for the Blade platform.

Build-in Resource and Classes

Utilize our HUD classes and resources provided by our Maven Libraries, HUD-ActionMenu and HUD-Resources. This is a good starting point for your application. Also make sure you setup your Blade Device Profile to understand the UI restriction for the platform (size, colors, fonts, readability).

For more information on those see our Development Getting Started knowledge area.
