  • Aim: to test product/packaging visual options, on-pack claims

  • Example questions: Would you buy this product?

  • Number of options to test: 2 or 3. This is an A/B (monadic or split test) where the panel is split into 2 or 3 portions, and consumers in each portion of the panel see only one of the 2 or 3 images to be tested. The description remains constant for all images.

  • Results format: Reports yes/no percentage for each option.

  • Best for: Testing product packaging design/format/on-pack messages/product visual/layout

Truffle Hunter have released new biodegradable crisp packaging, we wanted to test if consumers preferred the traditional crisp packet or the tin:

Due to the lack of statistical significance between the two results, we can conclude that the difference between the two types of packaging is minimal.
