How to create CTA & Quick Reply Buttons in WABB

A Call-to-Action (CTA) button in WABB is a clickable button inside a message that helps businesses get users to take specific actions. These buttons make it easier for customers to engage, whether it's visiting a website, making a call, or selecting an option.

Types of CTA Buttons in WhatsApp

  1. Visit Website Button

    • Opens a specific website when clicked.

    • Great for promotions, sign-ups, or product pages.

    • Example:

      • “Shop Now” → Takes users to your online store.

      • “Learn More” → Opens a blog or info page.

  2. Call Button

    • Opens the phone's dial pad with the number already entered, so the user just needs to tap "Call."

    • Ideal for customer support, bookings, or sales.

    • Example:

      • “Call Now” → Opens dial pad with the support number.

      • “Talk to an Expert” → Opens dial pad with a sales representative’s number.

  3. Copy Code Button

    • Copies specific content (like a coupon code or account details) to the user’s clipboard with one tap.

    • Useful for sharing promo codes, order reference numbers, or tracking IDs.

    • Example:

      • “Copy Code” → Copies a discount code like ‘SAVE20’ to the clipboard.

      • “Copy OrderID” → Copies the user's order number for easy reference.

      • “Copy BankDetails” → Copies account details for payments.

  4. Quick Reply Button

    • Lets users choose from set options to continue the conversation.

    • Clicking this button starts a new message flow based on how we design our flow.

    • Example:

      • “Order Status” → Triggers an automated response asking for the order number.

      • “Book Appointment” → Starts the scheduling process.

      • “Speak to Agent” → Transfers to a live support team.

Steps to Implement CTA & Quick Reply Buttons in WABB

Step 1: Add a Content Block

  1. Create or open a Flow in WABB.

  2. Click on the “+” button at the bottom right corner to add a Content Block.

  3. Drag and drop the Content Block into your flow.

Step 2: Write Your Message

  1. Click on the newly added Content Block.

  2. A default Text Element will appear inside it.

  3. Write your message in this text box. This could be a greeting, instructions, or any other message you want to display.

Step 3: Add a Button

  1. Below the text box, click on the “+ Add Button” option.

  2. A pop-up will appear asking you to enter a Button Title.

  3. Keep the title within 20 characters (typing will be disabled once the limit is reached).

Step 4: Configure as a Quick Reply Button

  • If you want the button to trigger another message or block, simply click on Save.

  • In the Constructor, a small arrow ( > ) will appear on the right side of the button.

  • Connect this arrow to another block, and that block will execute when the user clicks the button.

Step 5: Configure as a CTA Button

To make the button perform specific actions (like opening a website, making a call, or copying a code), follow these steps:

  1. After writing the button title, check the box that says “Use as CTA button”.

  2. A pop-up will appear, allowing you to choose the button action.

CTA Button Types & Setup

Copy Code Button:

  • Select “Copy Coupon Code” under Type of Button.

  • Enter the code or text you want to be copied to the user’s clipboard.

  • When clicked, this button will instantly copy the text to the user’s device.

    • Example: Copy Discount Code - SAVE20.

Call Button:

  • Select “Make Call” under Type of Button.

  • Enter the phone number in the provided box.

  • Choose the country code & Save.

  • When clicked, this button will open the phone’s dial pad with the number already entered, so the user just needs to tap Call.

    • Example: Call Now - +91 1XXXX XXX90.

Open Website Button:

  • Select “Open Website” under Type of Button.

  • Enter the website URL.

  • When clicked, this button will redirect the user to the specified website.

Important Things to Note

  1. Button title limit: Maximum 20 characters.

  2. Maximum CTA buttons per message: 3

  3. Each button can perform one action at a time.
