In this video, you will learn how the content block of Wabb works

A content block in WhatsApp Bot Builder (WABB) is a versatile tool that allows you to send various types of messages and content to users, helping you create personalised and engaging conversations. These content blocks are the building blocks of your bot's flows, making it easy to manage interactions and customize user experiences.

Using Content Blocks

  • Drag and drop the desired block using the + button from the bottom-right of your canvas onto the canvas to integrate it into your flow.

  • Connect blocks to create a seamless user journey, ensuring that the bot responds in the right sequence and with the right content.

Key Elements of Content Blocks

  1. Text Block

The text block is used to send simple text messages. You can personalize your messages by using system variables (like {first_name}, {last_name}, or {full_name}).

For example, you can greet a user with "Hi {first_name}, how can I help you today?" for a more personalised touch.

In addition, the text block offers formatting options like bold, italic, and strikethrough, which can be easily applied using buttons in the text editor. These features help highlight key information and make your messages more engaging.

  2. Image Block: Send images to users to make the conversation more visually engaging. The maximum size for an image is 5 MB.

  3. Video Block: Share videos directly in the chat for tutorials, product demos, or other engaging content. The maximum size for a video is 10 MB.

  4. File Block: Share downloadable files such as PDFs, documents, or brochures. The maximum file size for a file is 5 MB.

  5. Voice Block: Add a personal touch by sending voice messages. The maximum size for a voice message is 5 MB.

  6. Input Block:The input block is used to collect information from users, such as their email addresses, phone numbers, or other details. You can ask specific questions and store responses in multiple user or bot fields, offering flexibility in data collection.

You can also use the Retry Message option to ensure accurate data collection. If a user enters incorrect information, you can display an error message and prompt them to try again.

  7. Delay Block: Simulate natural conversation by adding a delay between messages. For example, you can set a 3-second pause between messages to make the flow feel more human-like.

  8. Auto-off Block: This feature pauses the automated bot response for a set time period. This prevents unnecessary replies and keeps conversations smooth and relevant.

  9. Contact Card: Share contact details (e.g., customer support or sales team) directly with users, making it easy for them to get in touch.

Content block in WhatsApp Bot Builder (WABB) is powerful and easy-to-use tool for creating engaging and personalised bot flows. Whether you’re sending text, images, videos, files, or collecting user data, these blocks offer all the flexibility you need.

Personalize conversations using system variables, apply text formatting, and manage delays for a more natural chat flow.
