How to Connect WhatsApp?

πŸ’‘ Open WhatsApp on your phone, go to Settings, then click on Linked Devices and select Link a device. The WhatsApp QR code scanner will open.

  • Go to Settings in your WABB account.

  • Open the Connection tab.

  • Click Connect to WhatsApp β€” you'll see a QR code.

Note: If the "Connect to WhatsApp" button appears grayed out and unclickable, simply refresh the webpage β€” this should resolve the issue.

  • On your phone, open WhatsApp β†’ Go to Settings β†’ Tap Linked Devices β†’ Select Link a Device.

  • Scan the QR code from your screen.

How to Check if Your WhatsApp Number is Connected to WABB

To verify whether your WhatsApp number is connected to WABB, check the account status indicator:

  • If the indicator light is red, it means your WABB account is not connected to any WhatsApp number.

  • If the indicator is green, your account is successfully connected.

Note: Occasionally, on the connection page, if you see a message saying "Bot is not working." Don’t worry β€” simply refresh the webpage, and the correct status should appear.

How to Disconnect or Connect a New WhatsApp Number

Yes, you can disconnect a currently connected number and connect a new WhatsApp number at any time.

How to do this:

  1. Go to Settings β†’ Connection.

  2. Here, you'll see your current connection status.

  3. If a number is already connected, click on "Disconnect" to remove it.

  4. Then, click on "Connect to WhatsApp" to link a new number.

Will disconnecting a number affect my data in WABB?

No, your existing data in WABB β€” including contact details, flows, and any integrations β€” will remain intact. However, chat history will not be visible, as it's tied to the previous WhatsApp number.

Important Note: When a number is disconnected, all automation and outgoing messages from WABB will pause. Once you connect a new number, all your automations will automatically become active on the new number.
