Updated over 2 months ago

In this video, you will learn how to pause and restart flow automations in Wabb

Pausing and resuming automation in WhatsApp Bot Builder allows you to manage conversations without bot interference. Here’s how to do it:

1. Pausing Automation

  • Directly from the User Card:

    • Click on "Stop" to pause automation.

    • Choose a set period (e.g., 12 hours), this ensures automation resumes at a specific time or when you decide.

  • Automatically When Messaging:

    • If you send a message in live chat, automation will automatically pause for 60 minutes. This prevents the bot from interfering while you assist the customer.

2. Resuming Automation

  • Set a Time for Resumption:

    • Click on “start automation by timer” under “Start Delayed” to resume automation after a set period (e.g., 4 hours). This ensures it restarts automatically after the specified time. Here you also have the option to stop the automation for indefinitely.

  • Marking Conversations as Completed:

    • When you mark a conversation as completed, automation restarts automatically. This indicates that the issue is resolved, and no further manual intervention is needed.

3. Additional Tips

  • Use the pause feature strategically to ensure smooth interactions with customers.

  • Regularly check and manage paused automations to maintain workflow efficiency.
