Updated over 2 months ago

In this video, you will learn how to create keywords in Wabb

Creating Keyword Groups in WABB helps you automate responses to customer queries, improving engagement and efficiency. Keywords trigger automated message flows when a user types a specific word or phrase.

Here’s how to set up keyword-based automation in WABB.

Step-by-Step: Creating a Keyword in WABB

1. Access the Automation Section

  • Go to the Automation section in your WABB dashboard. This is where you can set up your keywords and flows.

2. Create a New Keyword

  • Click the Create New Keyword button at the top right.

  • Enter a name for the keyword and choose the Flow to be triggered

  • Click Create to save.

3. Set Keyword Conditions

  • Choose the condition that defines when the keyword will activate:

    • Begins With: Trigger when the user’s message starts with the keyword (e.g., "price").

    • Contains: Trigger when the keyword appears anywhere in the message.

    • Is: Trigger when the message exactly matches the keyword.

  • For example, set conditions like “Price” and “Cost” to trigger a pricing flow.

4. Activate the Keyword

  • Toggle the switch to activate your keyword automation. Once activated, your bot will automatically respond when the keyword is detected.

5. Test the Automation

  • Test the keyword by sending a message containing the keyword to the number connected with WABB. The bot should respond with the associated message flow.

Example Use Case: Price Queries

For a pricing automation, you can create a keyword group with terms like “price,” “cost,” or “pricing.” When users type these words, the bot will send pre-configured pricing details.

Best Practices

  • Add Multiple Keywords: Include variations like "price," "cost," and "pricing" to cover different user inputs.

  • Use Multiple Conditions: Combine Begins With, Contains, and Is for flexibility.

  • Test Regularly: Ensure your keywords are triggering the correct flows.

By creating Keyword Groups in WABB, you can automate responses to common queries, saving time and enhancing customer experience. Whether for pricing, FAQs, or specific inquiries, keywords streamline your communication.
