The Auto-Off feature in WhatsApp Bot Builder (WABB) is designed to enhance user experience by pausing automated bot responses for a set time period. This prevents unnecessary replies and keeps conversations smooth and relevant.

Purpose of Auto-Off

  • Avoid Unnecessary Responses: For instance, if a conversation ends with “We’ll contact you in 24 hours,” and the user replies with “Thanks,” you might not want the bot to continue the dialogue. Auto-Off prevents this by disabling default responses for a specified time, so the conversation remains natural and focused.

How to Implement Auto-Off

  1. Access the Content Block:

    • Navigate to the content block where you’d like to apply Auto-Off.

  2. Insert the Auto-Off Element:

    • Select the "Disable" element within the content block.

    • Configure the time duration (in hours, minutes, or seconds) for which you want to disable the bot's default reply.

  3. Placement in Flow:

    • Place the Auto-Off element at any point in your flow (beginning, middle, or end) based on where interruptions are likely to occur, ensuring a smooth conversation flow.

Benefits of Using Auto-Off
