Wanda always handles your belongings with care, but unfortunately, damages can occur during transport or handling. To minimize the risk, it's important that you ensure your items are properly packed either by yourself or by Wanda's drivers.

Important to know regarding any damages:

Damage and Packing:

If your items were packed by a Wanda driver at pick-up and the items meet Wanda's requirements and guidelines (e.g., weight and volume limitations), you are entitled to compensation for transport or storage damages. The compensation is calculated based on the assumed market value of the item and depends on the purchase date, when the damage occurred, and the included insurance. If you have valuable items, it may be appropriate to insure your items to a higher level than what is already included. You can order packing and a higher level of insurance in the ordering process. To be eligible for compensation for items in boxes, they must be packed according to our packing guide.

Minor scratches or surface damages are not compensated.

Damages to Fragile Items:

Fragile items (e.g., glass, porcelain, lamps, etc.) must be packed in boxes. Each item must be packed separately in a way that prevents any movement during transport. This is because fragile items can easily break during transport if they can move within the box. If you want to store larger fragile items (e.g., mirrors or paintings), these must also be packed to be transported safely. You are responsible for packing fragile items for both transport and handling. If you choose not to pack fragile items, unfortunately, Wanda cannot be held responsible for any damages, even if packing is ordered.

Damages in the Residence:

Moving can cause minor damages and scratches on items as well as the surroundings in the residence. Minor surface damages or similar may occur during handling, even when the items are treated carefully. These are not considered damages and will not be compensated. The risk of damages increases when items are moved within the residence and during assembly/disassembly. Therefore, Wanda drivers always pick up and deliver from your entrance from the chosen floor and unfortunately cannot assist with assembly/disassembly. If the driver assists with carrying items to/from other rooms in the residence or offers assembly/disassembly, this is done at your own risk, and unfortunately, Wanda cannot be held responsible for damages or scratches caused.
